Third in Charge/Baby Room Leader

Hi, my name is Steph and I am the Baby Room Leader/ Third in Charge at Monkey Puzzle Marleigh.

Although I am new to the Monkey Puzzle family, I have worked in childcare for almost 10 years now and have my own cheeky little monkey, Oscar!

Over the 10 years I have had experience in nurseries over Bedfordshire, Hertfordshire and Cambridgeshire as a room leader in all age groups from 3 months to 5 years. I have also been a private Nanny for several years.

I love working in the Early Years sector as even now I learn something new every day and can guarantee no day will ever be the same!

Since becoming a mother myself, I feel I have become a better Practitioner. I can relate to other parents/carers on a much deeper level, helping to ease concerns, support learning from home and to implement the same level of care at nursery as I would expect for Oscar.

My aim is for the children to feel happy and excited to come to nursery, where they are able to learn, explore and reach their full potential in a fun and stimulating environment.

I am particularly passionate about Makaton signing, outdoor play and safeguarding children. My next goal is to train as a DSL for the nursery.
