How To Find Monkey Puzzle Marleigh
Monkey Puzzle Day Nursery Marleigh, is proudly located in the heart of Cambridge in the CB5 postal sector. The nursery is in Jubilee Square, just off Marleigh Avenue and behind the Newmarket Road Park & Ride. As well as the park and ride being a short walk away, the A1303 and A14 are just a quick drive away too. This makes us well located for serving families in the city of Cambridge.
Opening times: 7:30am to 6:30pm
Monday to Friday for 51 weeks per year, (closed for the week between
Christmas and New Year)

As March has begun and Spring is near, our topic of the week has been Weather 🌈
In preschool, children discovered how rain falls from clouds once the droplets become too heavy as well as discussing how the weather is changing 🌧️
They used pipettes to transport food colouring and added shaving foam and water to illustrate different types of weather 🌤️
Toddlers enjoyed cloud writing activities which sparked discussions about the shapes of clouds and their movement. In the afternoon, we took some time to observe real clouds, which enhanced their learning experience 🫧☁️

🌻📚World Book Day📚🌻
On Thursday, we celebrated World Book Day across all rooms, focusing on favourite stories and books. At Monkey Puzzle Marleigh, we support each child in developing and fostering a love for reading and story-telling 💕
In the baby room, our cosy den was transformed into an exciting jungle adventure. They listened to wild animal sounds whilst exploring interactive jungle books, pointing to animals they could see and hear🐾
Toddlers read our 'in the garden' book during their morning grouptime. This followed on by children then making their very own gardens involving flowers and planting 🌹
In the preschool room, children had opportunties to make their own storybooks. We started with 'once upon a time, there was..' and each child filled in the gap using their imagination skills 🧚♀️

🇨🇳 Chinese New Year 🇨🇳
Last week, each room explored and learnt about Chinese Year New Year in different ways. Babies engaged in sensory play using traditional noodles and chopsticks 🥢🍝
Toddlers had opportunities to roleplay shopping at a Chinese market following on from their outing last week as well as decorating a dragon 🧧🐉
Preschool helped to cut tangerines and madarin oranges which sparked conversations about the symbolisation of wealth, good fortune and prosperity. Preschool have been greeting each other saying 'Nǐ hǎo' which is 'hello' in Chinese 🍊🎉
