Hello. I’m Thulie and I am the Owner of Monkey Puzzle Marleigh. My team and I are dedicated to giving every child the best start in life by caring for and supporting them to play, learn and grow in a positive and stimulating nursery environment.

❤️🐲Happy Chinese New Year!🐲❤️

As part of our diversity and inclusive approach, the children learnt about Chinese New Year which included a visitor to the setting.

Hayley very kindly visited preschool and delivered a Chinese New Year workshop, explaining all about the Year of The Horse and how New Year is celebrated and the meaning of the traditional colour red and the story behind the dragon.

Children were able to learn phrases in Chinese as well dancing with beautiful dragons and monsters whilst some played a gong 🐲

The event finished off with making their own lanterns with a chocolate coin for good luck, wealth and abundance ❤️

🀄🐲Chinese Market Outing 🐲🀄

Last week, to further our exploration of Chinese New Year, the children made a visit to our local Chinese Market. They enjoyed browsing through the various items for sale and discovered foods that were new to them. For instance, one child picked up a white radish and asked, 'Is this a white carrot?'. This week, we will continue our focus on Chinese New Year, with the children engaging with a different book and story each day alongside crafts. 🎨❤

✨Ramadan Mubarak! ✨

This week, we have been exploring the significance of Ramadan. The children have been engaged with the book 'Moon's Ramadan,' which provided them with a wealth of information about the celebration. 🌙

They have created their own representations of moons, studied the stunning architecture of mosques, and designed their own buildings. Additionally, they examined the beautiful and vibrant colours associated with the occasion, observed the crescent moon, and explored various henna patterns. 🩵

The children have learned about the practice of fasting, where individuals do not eat from dusk until dawn, and they have posed many thoughtful questions about it. 🌞

How To Find Monkey Puzzle Marleigh

Monkey Puzzle Day Nursery Marleigh, is proudly located in the heart of Cambridge in the CB5 postal sector. The nursery is in Jubilee Square, just off Marleigh Avenue and behind the Newmarket Road Park & Ride. As well as the park and ride being a short walk away, the A1303 and A14 are just a quick drive away too. This makes us well located for serving families in the city of Cambridge.

Opening times: 7:30am to 6:30pm

Monday to Friday for 51 weeks per year, (closed for the week between
Christmas and New Year)
