How To Find Monkey Puzzle Marleigh
Monkey Puzzle Day Nursery Marleigh, is proudly located in the heart of Cambridge in the CB5 postal sector. The nursery is in Jubilee Square, just off Marleigh Avenue and behind the Newmarket Road Park & Ride. As well as the park and ride being a short walk away, the A1303 and A14 are just a quick drive away too. This makes us well located for serving families in the city of Cambridge.
Opening times: 7:30am to 6:30pm
Monday to Friday for 51 weeks per year, (closed for the week between
Christmas and New Year)
🐻📚Goldilocks and the three bears 📚🐻
After the classic book of Jack and the beanstalk, the children have been looking at the book 'Goldilocks and the three bears'.
The baby room did a teddy bear hide and seek game in the garden, painted bears houses using duplo in paint and fed the baby bears oats. The baby room also baked oat cakes for the children to try. 🐾
The toddler children sorted toys into different categories, built furniture using large wooden blocks, had a teddy bears picnic and made their own bears. The children also practiced making their own fruit salads which they eat for snack after noting that Goldilocks brings fruit to Grandma's. 🍓🍊
The preschool room hid counting bears around the garden and gave each other clues on where to find them, they made their own bear habitats using blocks, counted and sorted the counting bears and made their own porridge to try. 🏠

🌱🫘Jack and the beanstalk 🫘🌱
This week, the children have been looking at a classic story 'Jack and the beanstalk'. The children have all been doing lots of planting to grow their own beanstalks. They have also been building beanstalks using bricks, string, leaves. 🍃
The baby room did a 'climb the beanstalk' assault course and the toddler room did a beanstalk number walk. The preschool children have been counting and sorting beans before planting their own to take home. The children have all been chanting 'fee fi fo fum!' around the setting and have been pretending to be giants in their play. 📚

🐣Easter Fun🐣
In celebration of Easter, the children participated in a range of themed activities. They enjoyed Easter egg hunts in the garden, filled eggs with oats, and decorated baskets to take home. Additionally, they sorted the colours of the Easter eggs, created their own Easter drawings, and painted eggs.
The children also discussed the significance of the Easter holiday in their classrooms and have also been hopping around like little bunnies! 🐰🥚
