How To Find Monkey Puzzle Marleigh
Monkey Puzzle Day Nursery Marleigh, is proudly located in the heart of Cambridge in the CB5 postal sector. The nursery is in Jubilee Square, just off Marleigh Avenue and behind the Newmarket Road Park & Ride. As well as the park and ride being a short walk away, the A1303 and A14 are just a quick drive away too. This makes us well located for serving families in the city of Cambridge.
Opening times: 7:30am to 6:30pm
Monday to Friday for 51 weeks per year, (closed for the week between
Christmas and New Year)
💙Meet our team - Jael 💙
Jael is our lovely preschool room leader. Jael started with us as a nursery assistant and is now a level two and is working on her level 3, funded by Monkey Puzzle. Jael has worked her way up from nursery assistant to the preschool room leader after so much hard work and passion for her role. Jael is described by her employees as 'calm, a ray of sunshine, kind and super fun'. ❤️ Below is her bio:
'Hello, my name is Jael, I am the Preschool Room Leader at monkey puzzle Marleigh. I’m a qualified primary school teacher.
I love working with children because it’s something I have always been passionate about. To see them grow and be part of their journey is an amazing experience. I have been taking care of my nephew since he was a baby and I have been teaching in a Sunday school in our church, and this has helped me to understand children more and build that sense of love.
My aim is to make children feel safe, loved and cared for and to bring the sense of home in them.
In my free time, I love to cook and dance!
My next step in the nursery is to finish my level 3 so that I can improve on other sectors of the career.' 💚

💛🐝Bumble Bees! 🐝💛
Last week, the children closely explored the topic of bees. They learned that bees produce honey and discovered how they collect nectar from flowers and create hives. One preschooler remarked, 'I think bees love nectar because they make so much honey in shops,' while another said, 'There are lots of bees in my garden on my flowers,' and added, 'If you leave them alone, they won't sting you.' 🌷
The children created their own hive patterns using bubble wrap, as well as pasta and rice. They crafted individual interpretations of bees and made bee puppets to sing along to our bee song. 💐
In the preschool room, they used counting bees to compare quantities with Duplo blocks, matching the amounts represented by the bees. They also built towers according to the numbers on the bees, discussing how different numbers have varying values, such as recognising that 10 is greater than 2.

💛🌍International Day Of Families🌍💛
On May 15th, we celebrated international day of families' by hosting a parent event and invited every body to dress up in their traditional clothes.
The children and their families explored various sensory trays, made earth to celebrate us all using pasta, painted African necklaces, engaged in a safari tray, tried on some traditional clothes, made rangoli patterns and pictures, created famous buildings from around the world using blocks, swept away oats to reveal flags from home and had an international dance party! 🎉🪷🕌
The classrooms were decorated beautifully with flags from around the world and pictures of animals you would find in these areas.🐘🦁🐊
