🍄🌳Forest School 🌳🍄
The preschool children have been exploring the forest area. They took their forest wagon filled with open ended resources to support their explorations and chose to do some digging and looking at smaller details in nature with magnifying glasses. 🍂
Last week, some of the children chose to have a go at climbing a big tree trunk and some of the children looked at the shapes of the clouds and different patterns on the branches and leaves. 🌿☁️
The children can recite the forest school rules themselves and they lead their own play whilst exploring the natural environment. 🌲🍃

💙 Meet the team - Samuel 💙
Samuel is a qualified nursery practitioner based in the toddler room. Samuels co-workers describe him as 'kind', 'fun', 'silly' and 'gentle'. Samuel has been with us since he was studying his level 3 at college while he was on work placement and joined us as a permanent staff member when he qualified and has been with us since. 🌟
Read Samuel's bio below:
"Hello, my name is Samuel. I started childcare career working as a level 3 student at Cambridge Regional College. I enjoy inspiring children to create new ideas during play time, especially when activities are transformed during play time. I like being silly and dancing with the children as they call me 'Dj Samuel' from our daily dance parties. I also like cycling in my spare time." 💙

☃️❄️Winter Wonderland ❄️☃️
Last week, the children delved into the theme of 'winter wonderland'.
They investigated the snow and rain, discussing the reasons behind weather changes and their experiences of different weather types. This exploration included bringing snow into the classroom for observation and creating their own ice cubes. 🧊 🌨️
Additionally, the children studied arctic animals and practised dressing themselves in warm clothing, while discussing how to stay warm. They also engaged in activities such as playing with snowy play dough, painting and drawing snowflakes, and rescuing various animals trapped in ice cubes. 🎨🩵
