How To Find Monkey Puzzle Marleigh
Monkey Puzzle Day Nursery Marleigh, is proudly located in the heart of Cambridge in the CB5 postal sector. The nursery is in Jubilee Square, just off Marleigh Avenue and behind the Newmarket Road Park & Ride. As well as the park and ride being a short walk away, the A1303 and A14 are just a quick drive away too. This makes us well located for serving families in the city of Cambridge.
Opening times: 7:30am to 6:30pm
Monday to Friday for 51 weeks per year, (closed for the week between
Christmas and New Year)
💛🌍International Day Of Families🌍💛
On May 15th, we celebrated international day of families' by hosting a parent event and invited every body to dress up in their traditional clothes.
The children and their families explored various sensory trays, made earth to celebrate us all using pasta, painted African necklaces, engaged in a safari tray, tried on some traditional clothes, made rangoli patterns and pictures, created famous buildings from around the world using blocks, swept away oats to reveal flags from home and had an international dance party! 🎉🪷🕌
The classrooms were decorated beautifully with flags from around the world and pictures of animals you would find in these areas.🐘🦁🐊

🍃🌺Forest School Parent Session🍃🌺
This afternoon, parents were invited to come and see what our forest school sessions involved and what could be explored...
Preschoolers and toddlers started off by going over the forest rules which keep themselves and everybody else around them safe. This was led by our forest school leader, Alex, who works at our sister setting.
Preschool were able to continue on with their skills with whittling using branches and knives. Toddlers were able to have a go for the first time with their parents. Moreover, children took safe risks and challenged themselves by climbing to different levels. They also showed understanding of how to hold and use equipment safely like holding spades down.

🇧🇭🇧🇼International Family Week 🇨🇫🇨🇺
Over the past week, we have celebrated each and every international family who are a part of our nursery ethos 💕
In preschool room, each child had their passport and boarding pass stamped and then they flew to Kenya 🇰🇪 They had discussions about what to pack in their suitcases, how they are going to fly and how is it different than being in England. They learnt about the Big 5 as well as cultural food and dances 🐯✈️
In toddler room, they made African bracelets and looked at their home country flag. They also used wooden blocks to create a range of famous landmarks such as London Bridge and The Eiffel Tower 🏰
Babies were able to discover a variety of flags hidden oats using paintbrushes. They also explored spinning a globe as well as their own family pictures 👨👨👧👧
We are just about to continue our celebrations for International Family week with a parent event - we will share these photos next week! 🎊
