Hello. I’m Thulie and I am the Owner of Monkey Puzzle Marleigh. My team and I are dedicated to giving every child the best start in life by caring for and supporting them to play, learn and grow in a positive and stimulating nursery environment.

Our wider local community plays an important role in the nursery experience as an extended learning environment to create well rounded socially aware young children.

🚍🎡Bus Ride - Land Vehicles🚍🎡

During our theme of 'land vehicles' last week, preschool headed off to London for the day via bus 🚌

First of all, preschool were able to create their own tickets and discussed how you wait in line to board. Next, they chose where they were going to sit and what they might see 💂

Preschool expanded their vocabulary by using words such as 'ticket', 'passenger', 'fare' and 'destination' when planning their day.

As well as this, preschoolers created narratives as to why they were travelling to London. One child said 'I'm going to see Buckingham Palace whilst another said 'I'm going to see the London Eye'.

🌌🌛 Solar Eclipse🌌🌛

On Wednesday, preschoolers were lucky to experience an out of the ordinary event of a Solar Eclipse 🌛

In preparation, they worked together in making a camera out of a cardboard box and cellotape as the lense. They used scissors and then were able to peep through looking out📸

This sparked many conversations about what it involves and why is it happening. Preschool learnt that a solar eclipse happens when the Moon moves directly between the Sun and the Earth.

Monkey Puzzle Day Nursery Marleigh, is proudly located in the heart of Cambridge in the CB5 postal sector. The nursery is in Jubilee Square, just off Marleigh Avenue and behind the Newmarket Road Park & Ride. As well as the park and ride being a short walk away, the A1303 and A14 are just a quick drive away too. This makes us well located for serving families in the city of Cambridge.

Opening times: 7:30am to 6:30pm

Monday to Friday for 51 weeks per year, (closed for the week between
Christmas and New Year)
