The children recently had the opportunity to visit the mobile library at Marleigh. The library visits every month, and we always take a different group of children each time to explore and select a story to borrow.
While at the mobile library, the children eagerly navigated through a variety of genres and book types and the lady who runs it allowed the children to go and look at the front of the van and showed them where she sits to drive it. Each child selected a book to bring back to nursery for a group reading time with their peers!
Their choices included a fictional story, a non-fiction book, a rhyming book, and a book that addresses feelings. One child even chose to bring a book they already have at home to share with their friends saying “my friends will like this book I have at home!”.
