We are excited to announce a new collaboration with Marleigh Academy, where we will be leasing the forest school area once a week for children in our setting aged three years and older. Our forest school-trained teacher from Grange Road, Alex, will lead this initiative and provide training for the other staff members as well.

Preschool have enjoyed their first Forest School session. The preschool children were practising their digging skills, counted acorns, explored a bug hotel as well as using potato peelers to sharpen sticks. 

Alex talked about the rules when using new tools such as spades, shovels and rakes and talked about their safety in the forest. 

They showed great independence and curiosity throughout our visit. The children concentrated really carefully when sharpening their sticks and showed great engagement.
