Nursery Assistant

My name is Sian, and I am a Nursery Assistant in the baby room here at Marleigh! Working within the Early Years Sector for the last five years, I have progressed through various positions from Room Leader, Third-In-Charge and Deputy Manager. I have worked with all age groups starting from Toddlers, through to Preschool and then moving to Babies. I recognise the importance of embedding the foundations in a child’s first few years of life as this in turn allows them to grow with happy and healthy relationships.

I thrive as a practitioner by creating a stimulating environment that allows each child to flourish. This could be learning through play, through their own curiosity or through being a positive role model myself. I feel so grateful that I can be part of their journey, celebrating their uniqueness and individual achievements along the way. I love to work with and support families to create a space that has the child’s best interest at heart.

A little fun fact about me is that I am intermediate level at Spanish. I have travelled a large portion of Spain, and my dream is to move there in the not-so-distant future. I currently study Criminology at university, and dream to support children in a different capacity within my future career.
