How To Find Monkey Puzzle Marleigh
Monkey Puzzle Day Nursery Marleigh, is proudly located in the heart of Cambridge in the CB5 postal sector. The nursery is in Jubilee Square, just off Marleigh Avenue and behind the Newmarket Road Park & Ride. As well as the park and ride being a short walk away, the A1303 and A14 are just a quick drive away too. This makes us well located for serving families in the city of Cambridge.
Opening times: 7:30am to 6:30pm
Monday to Friday for 51 weeks per year, (closed for the week between
Christmas and New Year)

This week, Christmas magic has filled the classrooms as Christmas crafts and Christmas tree decorating has begun in the setting. The children have been exploring 'Christmas from around the world' as their topic this week and have learnt lots of new songs and explored activities based on the upcoming holidays. 🌟🦌

🦆🐾British Wildlife 🐾🦆
The children have been exploring the topic of wildlife. The children discussed the various habitats in which different animals reside and created a storyboard. The children shared which animal they would like to be and participated in a guessing game centred around animals. 🦊🐭
The children also had a go at animal bingo, took part in animal yoga, did a wildlife sensory walk in bare foot, explored a duck pond, made hedgehogs and habitats from clay, made their own bird feeders, painted with natural objects and pretended to feed the wildlife animals. 🐛🌲

🦆🐾British Wild Life 🐾🦆
This week, our children have been exploring the wonders of wildlife. 🦔🌲
The children have crafted bird feeders using Cheerios and pipe cleaners, which they proudly hung in our garden. They’ve also had the opportunity to engage with various natural materials like pine cones and conkers, which they used in small world play. Additionally, the children enjoyed rolling conkers through paint and sending pine cones down tubes. 🍂🦊
The children have been looking at mixing colours they have seen on their walks to nursery and their weekends and have been mixing browns and greens to paint with. 🎨
At home, you could consider making bird feeders with lard and seeds, put on your wellies to splash in muddy puddles, or create muddy play dough with cocoa powder and using the natural materials to make marks within it. 🌟
